The aim of the project is to investigate how a sensor-empowered exoskeleton can be seamlessly combined with an external wearable 3D-motion sensing system covering the upper body, and a sophisticated data stream analytics stack. The project is driven by the idea that an exoskeleton for lower body parts (e.g., legs) can only be fully exploited when motion data of the upper body is concurrently integrated and used for adaptive control purposes.
