From January 10th to 12th the Kick Off Meeting of EUROBENCH project was held in Brussels. This meeting brings together the ten members of the consortium, from five different countries, to discuss and settle the strategic lines of the project that will create the first European framework for the
application of a benchmarking methodology to robotic systems.
The EUROBENCH project, a Research and Innovation Action (RIA) funded by the European Comission under the ICT-27-2017 call with more than 8 million euros for the next four coming years, will be focused on bipedal robotic technologies and include a methodological and experimental framework to measure System Ability Levels on a rigorous, quantitative and replicable way.
To accomplish the objectives of EUROBENCH the collaboration of Third Parties will be essential. To this end, external companies and research entities will be invited to participate in a challenging Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) Programme with two Open Calls and a budget of almost five million euros. This program will be coordinated by INNCOME, which is an exciting challenge that we are willing to start with.
During this meeting, partners held the very first discussions on how to address the framework requirements and provide a useful and sustainable solution to the stakeholders’ needs.
